Jordan’s NBA Picks: 45-30
Chicago Bulls (21-56) at New York Knicks (14-62)

There aren’t too many teams that the Knicks can say that they would be favorites against, but this version of the Chicago Bulls has the Knicks as -3 ½ favorites. Chicago is missing four starters either due to real or phantom injuries and what is left is a rag-tag version of a G-League team.
The Bulls have tons of guys playing on 10-day or non-guaranteed deals and quite frankly it’s an embarrassment. That being said, this embarrassment and dumpster fire of a basketball game has some value.
The total has seen a sharp rise since it opened earlier and I still think there is room to bet the over here. There will be no semblance of defense played by either team and while the Bulls don’t have much offense to speak of, they do have some guys who can get hot.
Walter Lemon Jr showed that in his first game as a member of the Bulls and Antonio Blakeney is going to chuck shots once he enters the game. Against this horrendous Knicks defense, which is giving up 114.4 points per 100 possessions since the All-Star Break, both of these teams could get close to, or surpass 110 points against each other.
Plus, it’s Robin Lopez’s birthday. So, he is almost guaranteed 20 points and 10 rebounds tonight.
Charlotte Hornets at Utah Jazz

Free NBA Pick: Jazz 1H Spread and 1H OVER

The Hornets are still in contention for a playoff spot, but they need a lot of help. They also need to beat the Jazz tonight, which is looking less likely as +11 ½ underdogs.
However, the first half odds on this game have some value and for several reasons both the Jazz and the Over look like strong first half plays.
Starting with the first half spread, the Jazz have been playing extremely well at home in their first half games this season, and that has been especially true since the All-Star Break.
Since the break, the Jazz are averaging 113.7 points per 100 possessions and only allowing 105.7 points per 100 possessions against Eastern Conference teams. If you isolate just the first halves of those games, they are scoring 115.9 per 100 possessions, but allowing only 94.9 in intra-conference games.
With Utah fighting to hold onto the 5th seed and potentially move up to 4th, I think they come out guns blazing in this one and cover the first half spread.
On top of that, the over looks like a strong wager as well. The Hornets are allowing 117.3 points per 100 possessions on the road against the West this season and in the first halves of those games they are giving up 118.4.
