Luka Doncic returns to New York but this time he'll be in Brooklyn, while Atlanta will make its last trip to Miami in the Dwyane Wade era.

A night later, the Nets turned in an uglier performance by shooting 35.2 percent in a 117-88 loss at Miami. At 32-33, the Nets are under .500 for the first time since they were 22-23 after a 109-102 win over the Boston Celtics on Jan. 14. That win began a six-game losing streak but since Jan. 25, Brooklyn is 5-10 in its last 15 games and six losses are by double digits.

The Nets are also struggling at home where they have dropped five of their last seven games since Feb. 4. They also are running out of time to bank home wins since a seven-game road trip starts in Oklahoma City on March 13. Brooklyn is struggling on both ends during its last three games. The Nets have lost those games by a combined 49 points, are allowing 121.7 points and 49.3 percent shooting. Offensively, the Nets are averaging 105.3 points on 44 percent shooting and 24.8 percent from 3-point range in this skid.

Monday against Dallas begins a week where the Nets will play three straight games against teams out of playoff contention as they host Cleveland on Wednesday and visit Atlanta on Saturday. After hosting Detroit next Monday, Brooklyn has only two remaining games against opponents with losing records.

This is the opportunity for them to get back in the playoff race and to improve on their 15-15 home ATS record. The Nets are a good bet against a young Mavericks team.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Mutual Fans 🤝 #OneLastDance pic.twitter.com/nwqR07h8BY
— Brooklyn Nets (@BrooklynNets) March 3, 2019
\n\n"}[/]

Atlanta (22-42 SU, 30-34 ATS) at Miami (28-34 SU, 33-29 ATS)

Monday, 7:30 p.m. ET
Free NBA Pick: Heat ATS
Best Line Offered: Bovada

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3569976, "sportsbooksIds":[999996,19,169,1602,139], "LineTypeId":1, "PeriodTypeId":1}[/]

As bad as the Atlanta Hawks have been this season they have still owned the Miami Heat. In fact, when the Hawks visit the Heat on Monday night, Atlanta will go for a 4-0 season sweep. If the Hawks get the win, it would be their first 4-0 sweep over the Heat since the 1990-91 season.

Miami, which is just outside Eastern Conference playoff position at 28-34, will likely play Monday without perhaps their two top players in point guard Goran Dragic (calf injury) and center Hassan Whiteside (hip). Both are game-day decisions. In addition, Heat forward James Johnson has been dealing with a shoulder injury, and his status is uncertain.

Atlanta, playing without leading star power forward John Collins, still had enough to beat the host Chicago Bulls 123-118 on Sunday. Collins, who leads the Hawks in scoring (19.5) and rebounds (9.5), has an illness and is likely out for the Heat game, too. He did not travel to Chicago.

In the aforementioned win over the Bulls, Hawks guard Trae Young, the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft, scored 18 points before getting ejected early in the third quarter after he was caught taunting Chicago's Kris Dunn. Miami will certainly be highly aware of Young. The Heat are in a battle for their playoff lives, and the last thing Miami wants is another Young explosion. So far this season, the Heat have done a fairly good job on Young, holding him to 20.0 points per game in those three losses.

Overall, Miami has not won consecutive games since Jan. 27 and has gone 4-10 during that span, but they are 16-11 ATS after a win and this will be the perfect opportunity for them to not only cover but to beat an inferior team.
