It’s a smaller slate of odds here on Monday, but there is still value to be had coming into tonight. With several teams on back to backs and some with some unknown injuries, it’s a nice night for some speculative NBA Picks!

  Pistons vs. Knicks

Carmelo Anthony may or may not play in tonight’s game, but with the Knicks actively tanking and still in the running for a top-four pick, my guess is he sits this one out again.

However, even if he does play, the Knicks are a fine value tonight, even though they have been horrible ATS lately. That is because the Pistons have had some extra time off between their last game and tonight, which usually leads to a good ATS outcome.

When playing on 2-3 days rest this season, the Pistons are 7-2 ATS, which is one of the best marks in the league.

After losing three in a row and six of their last seven SU and ATS, it might be hard to trust the Pistons. However, with the time off, I’m sure Stan Van Gundy put the fear of God into his guys, especially considering this team is still supposedly fighting for a playoff spot.

If that is the case, even though they haven’t been playing like it, I suspect a turnaround from Detroit tonight. It’s especially good if Anthony does not play, though.

Pelicans vs. Jazz

New Orleans had an impressive win last night in Denver. However, it looked as if the Nuggets didn’t even show up to that one, while the Pelicans looked like the team that was holding the 8th seed in the West,

However, that win was impressive, but they are about to run into a brick wall tonight against the Jazz. Utah is a -7 NBA Odds favorite tonight with the Pelicans coming in on no rest. With DeMarcus Cousins likely still out, the Pelicans have a two-man offensive game in this one and that won’t be enough.

However, Gordon Hayward is also a little banged up, but I expect him to play tonight either way. Quin Snyder said after Saturday’s game that Hayward was ok and with that, I am assuming he plays.

However, the last time the Pelicans had a game against Utah on the second night of a back-to-back, things did not go well for them. The game ended in a final score of 83-88 and assuming the Jazz slow down the Pelicans in Utah tonight, I like the under to cash once again.

In their respective home/road spots, these two teams are a combined 43-29 cashing the under.
