Milwaukee Bucks vs Chicago Bulls - NBA Picks Of The Day 12/31

Bulls player Dwyane Wade

The Chicago Bulls have lost seven of their last 11 games SU and they are only 1-4 ATS in their last five. This team can’t shoot and they are going against a divisional foe that has figured them out on defense.

Bucks vs. Bulls

The Milwaukee Bucks have always played the Chicago Bulls tough. Since their epic first round playoff series a few years ago, Milwaukee is that divisional team that seems to have Chicago’s number.

The Bucks also dominated the Bulls in their first two meetings and with both teams coming into this one off road games last night, I think the Bucks’ defense will show up big again against this Bulls team with very little shooting.

I talked about this a lot in the offseason when the Bulls signed Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade. Jimmy Butler is an average three-point shooter at best and with two traditional bigs, Chicago has no one to space the floor.

This has caused them to become the league’s worst three-point shooting team and it gives long and athletic teams like the Bucks an easy game plan to try and beat them. Chicago does have Doug McDermott back and along with Nikola Mirotic should get plenty of run as literally Chicago’s only two real three-point threats. However, to start the game, the Bucks are simply going to pack the paint and force the Bulls to shoot outside jump shots.

If you watched their last two against one another, they just put Giannis Antetokounmpo on Jimmy Butler, who he shut down and forced other Bulls to beat them. They didn’t and Milwaukee rolled. With an athletic defense and a nice young player in Malcolm Brogdon coming into the starting lineup, this team is good defensively. With both teams tired, I’m going with the young and more athletic team.
