Dallas Mavericks (-5) vs. Sacramento Kings 10:05 ET
Tonight, the Dallas Mavericks travel to Sacramento where they will look to break their 2-game losing streak, after winning 6 consecutive contests following the acquisition of Rondo.  A quick look at the NBA standings shows us that even though Dallas is 26-12 SU that is only good enough for 5th place in the rugged Western Conference playoff queue.  Sacramento is now floundering at 16-21 SU and is again headed for also ran status.

When Sacramento opened the season 5-1 SU ATS, it appeared the year would hold great promise.  It has been a downward spiral since that time for the Kings.  In fact, since November 26th, the Kings have gone just 7-16 SU, 4-19 ATS.  Lest you believe the 103-84 victory over Cleveland was a buy sign Saturday night, consider that the LeBron(less) Cavs are on a 1-8 SU ATS slide.  Sacramento home court has rarely been an ally this season.  For, the Kings are just 10-11 SU and 7-13 ATS on their home court.   Tonight, they must face a Dallas team, who will come with full focus.

The Mavs were rolling.  Following the acquisition of Rondo, Dallas went on a 6-0 SU, 5-1 ATS tear.  The last 4 of those victories were by 8 or more points.  Three of them were in the role of road favorite, which is where the Mavs find themselves tonight.  In fact, Dallas is now 13-6 SU on the road, including 9-3 ATS as road chalk in NBA odds, increasing their record in the role of road favorite to 26-13 ATS L2+Y.  This fits hand in glove with the fact that NBA single digit road favorites are 95-59 ATS for the season.  Dallas is the 2nd highest scoring team in the NBA (behind Golden St.) with an average of 109 PPG.   Against a defenseless Sacramento team who allows 104 PPG (4th worst in the league), it looks like a high-scoring win for a focused Dallas team tonight.

The final confirming factor is that the Mavs own a 19-2 SU series record against Sacramento.  The fundamentals are clearly in place for that dominance to continue.  The fact that Dallas will be fully focused coming off consecutive losses is also a fact that works in our favor. Sacramento is a team that has failed to build positive momentum following a victory with a mediocre 7-8 ATS mark, following a win. Lay your NBA pick with the Mavs in an expected, high-scoring, double digit romp against the team they own!
