The value NBA pick in this matchup though is on the Cavaliers so much to my chagrin I like them to hold their own against San Antonio. This will be the best game of the day.

NBA Pick: Cavaliers +6
Best Line Offered: at 5Dimes

NBA odds have the Cavs at +5.5 and the total at 196. For my selection this is good value on a team that is playing very well with Kyrie Irving back. Although beating San Antonio at home is a monumental task, that is exactly what they did last year in overtime and I expect for them to hang in enough tonight to cover the points.

Cleveland Cavaliers
Cleveland is averaging 101.9 points per game while shooting 45% from the field, and allowing 95.5 points per game on 44.1% from the field.  Even with Lebron James the Cavs are only 15-20 against the spread this season and 7-12 away, but this makes me like them to start regressing back towards the mean as odds makers adjust. Offensively they have been very tough with Kyrie Irving back in the lineup and on the season they have been one of the more efficient teams in the league ranking seventh in shooting efficiency and sixth in effective field goal percentage. They have been subpar in the paint on this side of the ball but very good behind the arc putting up 28.7 per game, making 10.3 of those, and averaging 36% from that range. Defensively they are much better and rank third in the league in scoring defense and opponent field goals made per game.  They have also been good defending the perimeter allowing only 21.8 attempts per game, ranking fifth, and 7.5 made per game, ranking seventh.  The Cavs are on a nice winning streak and are a veteran group so I don't think they will be intimidated tonight, but geared up for the challenge.

San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs are averaging 103.8 points per game on 49.2% shooting from the field, and allowing 89.7 points per game on 42.7% shooting from the field.  Against the spread they have been phenomenal going 28-12 on the season and 16-6 at home. They lead the league in scoring margin at 14.1 points per game and rank first in overall shooting percentage, two point shooting percentage, and second in three point shooting percentage at 38.2% from distance. They control tempo and can score from everywhere on the floor. Defensively they are the best team in the league ranking first in opponent three pointers made per game, opponent field goals made per game, and opponent effective field goal percentage. Then they rank second in opponent shooting efficiency and three point percentage. Like the Cavs they are on a solid winning streak but tonight they will have the toughest matchups they have had in a while from a very talented Cleveland team. The difference tonight I believe will be how they defend Irving who dropped over 50 last time he was in San Antonio.

Once again this a very tough pick for me because of my personal feelings about San Antonio, I really like how they run things. Be that as it may, for one of your NBA picks I recommend backing Cleveland getting the points in this spot. This is good value on a talented Cavaliers team that should come in and give San Antonio one of their toughest tests of the season.
