Golden State is on a roll, with nine wins in a row, going 6-3 ATS in NBA odds while favored by 7-8-10 points every time out. They are favored by even more than that on Tuesday at home against Orlando.

Magic-Warriors Betting Odds
Despite some uncertainty as to whether Golden State G Stephen Curry will play tonight, or how much, or how effectively, the NBA NBA odds market opened the Warriors at -13.5 over Orlando, with a total of right around 202. Those numbers were holding steady in the early betting.

Those who think the Magic have a chance at the upset here could get a price of +900 on the NBA betting moneyline at 5Dimes.

Magic-Warriors: The Match-Up
Orlando, which went off this season with a wins betting OVER/UNDER of 28, started 0-4, losing to some pretty good teams, like Toronto, Washington and Chicago. The Magic then won six of their next 10 games, as the schedule eased a bit. But Orlando then lost four in a row, both SU and ATS, including a 111-96 decision at home to this Golden State team last week.

But the Magic snapped that four-game losing streak last time out with a 93-90 victory at Phoenix Sunday.

At 7-12 Orlando owns the 10th-best record in the Eastern Conference.

The Magic shot 46 percent from the floor Sunday, held the Suns to 40 percent shooting, and won outright as nine-point dogs.

Golden State, for its first season under Coach Kerr, went off with a wins O/U of 52. Nothing like stepping into some lofty expectations. But the Warriors are off to a great start, and at the moment need 39 wins in their last 66 games to play OVER their total.

Golden State started 5-0 this season, with wins over Portland, the Clippers and Houston. The Warriors then lost back-to-back outings to Phoenix and San Antonio. Since then, Golden State has won nine games in a row, most recently a 104-93 decision at Detroit Sunday, completing a 5-0 road trip.

At 14-2 the Warriors own the second-best record in the Western Conference.

Golden State trailed early Sunday, but eventually ground the Pistons down and covered as an eight-point road favorite. The Warriors shot 47 percent from the floor for the game, and held Detroit to just 36 percent shooting, although the Pistons did manage to go 11/23 from 3-point range.

Magic-Warriors, Statistically Speaking
Golden State leads the league in both FG shooting at 49 percent and 3-point shooting at 39 percent, and ranks ninth in FT shooting at 78 percent. The Warriors also lead the league in FG defense, holding foes to just 41 percent shooting, rank ninth in rebounding at +1.3 per game, and while they also lead the league in assists at 26 per game, they rank second in turnovers at 17 per game.

By those numbers, Golden State is the best team in the league.

Orlando ranks 14th in FG shooting at 45 percent, fifth in 3-point shooting at 37 percent but only 25th in FT shooting at 72 percent. The Magic also rank 20th in FG defense at 46 percent, 15th in rebounding at -.3 per game, and own a 20/16 A/TO ratio, which ain't too great.

Magic-Warriors Recent history
Golden State just beat Orlando last week back in Florida 111-96, and the game wasn't as close as that score might indicate. The Warriors led by 13 at the half, stretched that to 27 in the third quarter, then breezed home from there. Golden State shot 52 percent from the field, went 12/26 from 3-point land, and held Orlando to just 41 percent shooting, while covering as an eight-point favorite.

That game just squeezed OVER its total of 203 as the Magic woke up and scored 31 points in the fourth quarter/garbage time.

Last year the Warriors took two games from the Magic by scores of 94-81 and 103-89, covering as favorites of six and 12 points. Both those games played UNDER on the totals.

Injury Update
Golden State is already playing without F David Lee, and now sharpshooter Stephen Curry is dealing with a tweaked ankle. His status, as of this writing, was still uncertain. Bookmakers were still posting the Warriors at a big number.

Magic-Warriors Free Pick
Making a NBA pick on this game from so far out, without knowing for sure whether Curry will play, is a bit dangerous. But with or without him Golden State still plays good defense. So instead of offering a pick on the side here we'll look toward the total and go with the UNDER.
