It's no surprise that Atlanta and Golden State are heavy dogs tonight, considering how their opponents (Philadelphia and Utah, respectively) have been playing. But with your NBA picks, are the point spreads big enough?

Philadelphia is on a 14-game winning streak, and on the NBA odds board they are a solid -9.5 favorite tonight at Atlanta. In my NBA picks I will take Atlanta plus the points, because I like how they just played against Boston and they recently just saw this same 76ers team about a week ago. In that matchup Philadelphia came out of Atlanta with a 101-91 victory, but the Hawks shot about as poor as you can shoot in a basketball game. The Hawks were a miserable 35.6 percent from the floor and 23 percent from distance. What I like, though, is the fact they got up 101 attempts, and I expect more of those shots to drop tonight. Atlanta has struggled a lot this season but at home their offensive statistics are not horrible, shooting more than 45 percent overall and better than 36 percent from distance. Just two days ago they went into Boston and pulled off a nice upset, and just prior to that they won at Washington, so it seems they are trying to finish the season on a high note. Don’t expect the Hawks to lay down and let Philadelphia roll them over.

Warriors vs. JazzFree NBA Pick: Warriors +7Best Line Offered: 5Dimes

I don’t remember the last time Golden State was this big of an underdog in the last couple of seasons. Although Steph Curry is still out, it still seems like all of the team's other regular players will see the floor, yet the Warriors are +7 underdogs on the NBA odds board. I will gladly grab the points with Golden State with my NBA picks, and I won't be surprised if they beat the Jazz outright. Utah recently won 110-91 at Golden State as heavy favorites, but the Warriors were thin. Recently, head coach Steve Kerr has been preaching better defense by his squad, so I look for the Warriors to play at an elite level on that side of the floor. Offensively they are still better than Utah, at least statistically, shooting at a 50-percent clip overall and 37.8 percent on the road. Utah has been playing tremendous basketball over the past month but this is too many points to give the defending champs, who will come in with a lot of pride and play well.
