With Golden State coming up next for the Thunder, it might be hard for them to focus tonight when they take on the Clippers. This sets up to be an extremely good basketball game between two of the better teams in the Western Conference. Who will beat the NBA odds?

Betting Odds
Oddsmakers have come out making the Los Angeles Clippers a small -1 favorite like at Pinnacle -105. For my NBA pick today I will back the Clippers in this spot to beat OKC at home. They have been playing very well the last two months and the situation I believe favors them to win this game.

Oklahoma City Thunder
Oklahoma City ranks second in the NBA in points per game, two point shooting percentage, and field goals made per game. They had one of the most heartbreaking losses I have seen this season at the hands of the Golden State Warriors their last home contest. They face that same Warriors team tomorrow night, but they better not be looking forward to that game because Los Angeles is playing some good basketball. Even without that game to look forward to the Clippers have shown they are more than good enough to beat Oklahoma City at home. The issue tonight that bodes against them is on the defensive side where they simply are not as sharp on the road. On the season Oklahoma City goes from allowing 100 points per game at home to 106 points on the road, as well as allowing opponents to shoot just 43.5% at home to almost 45% on the road.

Los Angeles Clippers
Los Angeles ranks seventh in the NBA scoring 105 points per game, and defensively ranks second and fourth in opponent two point and overall shooting percentage respectively. After having a weird loss against the Denver Nuggets Los Angeles got back on track winning their last two games in a row. They are playing very good basketball right now and statistically are solid on both sides of the ball. Offensively the Clippers rank fourth in effective field-goal percentage and three point shooting percentage. They also rank fifth in two point and overall shooting percentage and at home they can be very difficult to stop at times.

Defensively they are one of the better teams in the Western Conference and they rank sixth in the NBA allowing opponents only 36.7 field goals made per game. This game sets up nicely for Los Angeles to pull off the victory with the game that lies ahead for Oklahoma City. However, I like the way they matchup with the Thunder no matter the scheduling and tonight I believe the NBA odds are correct, making them the small favorite.
