In another long line of super-surgers vs. towel-tossers, the Orlando Magic travel from yesterday’s game at Toronto to face the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. See my NBA picks inside.

Orlando Magic vs. Boston Celtics
The game is scheduled for a 7:35 ET tip. While the Magic were losing at Toronto on Sunday, the Celtics snapped a 4-game losing streak with a (120-105) win at Philly.

These teams have met 3 times this year with Orlando winning at Florida by scores of 110-91 and 119-114 both as home underdog. Boston has won the only game played on this court with a 113-94 victory sandwiched between those two Orlando wins. THAT RUNS THE RECORD IN THIS SERIES TO 7-0 SU ATS FOR THE HOME TEAM IN THE LAST 2 SEASONS. We will look to follow that series history, along with the super-surger vs. towel-tosser mentality of these teams for this pointspread victory.

Orlando enters here on a 3-game losing streak at 29-40 SU with an 11-23 SU road record. That’s good for only 12th place in the Eastern Conference playoff queue. With just 13 games remaining, it means Orlando would have to pass 4 teams and make up 6 games to qualify for the playoffs. That aint gonna happen and Orlando knows it!

With last night’s high-scoring victory at Philly, the Celtics snapped their own 4-game losing streak. After ascending to the No. 3 playoff spot, the Celtics have now fallen back to No. 5 in the playoff queue, but still remain one game behind Atlanta for the No. 3 spot. Boston also knows that they are just 4 games away from falling out of playoff qualification completely. Now, that they have snapped the losing streak, look for full focus from the Celtics tonight, who are 14-7 ATS as single-digit, home favorite this season.

While the Celtics continue to be the highest scoring team in the East at 106 PPG, Orlando has struggled defensively on the road allowing 103 PPG. As a result, the Magic is on a 4-16 SU slide on the road this calendar year.

The Celtics have beaten Orlando 11 consecutive times on this floor in the last 5 years. With the Boston Celtics super-surging toward the playoffs and realizing the importance of each victory, we must play them on their home court, where they have dominated the opposition in 2016. Orlando has little to play for and figures to toss the towel over the final 4 weeks of the NBA season. I invite you to put the NBA odds in your favor and join me in my NBA pick on the Boston Celtics this evening. Excited for what else is on the slate tonight? Be sure to check out today's NBA picks of the day.
