After a successful Tuesday night of NBA Picks, it’s time to look at Wednesday’s massive NBA slate. 11 games line the schedule tonight, and there are plenty of nice NBA Odds to look at.

Grizzlies vs. Raptors
While the Raptors haven’t been as good in years past on defense this season, they will pick things up quickly as the season goes along. However Memphis doesn’t seem to have a problem stopping people this season, as they are second in the NBA In points allowed. By all accounts this should be a great intra-conference showdown, and the NBA Odds reflect that, favoring he Raptors at -2 ½, with a total of 194.

Even though it looks as if the Raptors might need to be mentioned in the same conversations as the Bulls and Cavs, I thought the Grizzlies would be favored in this game, but instead of risking money on a small spread between two good teams, I would recommend a wager on the total instead. Even at 194, this total has some under value, and with the way the total has been plummeting from where it opened at around 200 points, the indicators are all there.

The under is 11-2 for the Raptors in their last 13 games against winning teams, while the Grizzlies are 8-2 versus teams with a winning record.

Suns vs. Pistons
Another good intra-conference game tonight is the Suns and Pistons. The NBA Odds have the Pistons as +2 home dogs, with a total of 204, and once again with a small spread, the best advice I can give is to lay off the spread and go with the total. Even though I do think the Suns could have a monster game here tonight, the way to take advantage of that is to take the over.

At 204, it’s just low enough for me to trust these two offenses, because if this game’s pace starts to increase, the over will cash easily. The Piston’s defense has been awful this season in the post, and with the emergence of the Morris twins, as well as recently the play of Alex Len, the Suns have the talent and mismatches down low to score well into the 100s.

The over is 27-11 in the last 38 home games for the Pistons, and the over is 13-3 for Detroit in their last 16 games as a home underdog between +1/2 and +5. For the Suns, the over has cashed in seven of their last nine games this season, and it’s hit in the last two games for the Suns, both times the opposing team scored at least 114.

Lakers vs. Rockets
The last game of the night is going to be a blowout. I was going back and forth between whether to recommend the Rockets laying points or the total, and while I settled with the total to round out our NBA Picks of the day, I would still lay the points tonight. With that being said, the over looks like the better value. Even with the Rockets’ newfound defense, which is making them look more and more like a championship contender, when this game has a 30-point spread at the end of it, and the Rockets have 130 points, the total of 208 ½ will go over.

The Lakers this season are giving up the most points per game of any team, and off the back to back win last night, the Lakers might be satisfied with a split on their back to back road stint. Houston is not only rested, but with Dwight Howard in the middle against his former team, the Lakers stand zero chance of stopping him. Terrence Jones might also be back tonight, which would only help the Rockets’ offense and defense. For the Lakers, the over has cashed in eight of their last 10 games this season, and in all five road games in a row this season.
