With the move to put Tristan Thompson back in the starting lineup, the Cavaliers are going to improve a lot defensively. They will need it tonight against the Pistons.

The Cavaliers have had little problem beating the Pistons over their last two meetings, and here at home after a win over the Pacers on Friday, the Cavaliers are looking like a solid play for your NBA picks.

The Pistons are coming off another loss on Saturday to the Thunder. After giving up 121 points in that game, there is little chance they are going to stay in this one.

With the bigger frontline from the Cavaliers, Detroit isn’t going to have the energy to rebound and play defense coming off the game last night, especially coming into Cleveland after losing seven straight and six of their last seven ATS.

I think the move to improve the size of the frontline will take some pressure off Kevin Love defensively, which will help his offense. Along with moving LeBron James back to small forward, that should make for an imposing frontcourt against the tired Pistons, who are big underdogs on the NBA odds board.

The Cavaliers have won their last two against the Pistons by a combined 60 points, so despite the fact Cleveland is still struggling, the Pistons are struggling even more.
