What are the best ways to bet on LeBron James' player props, given that he is within striking distance of the record? Read on for our James' player props based on the best NBA odds.

LeBron James is just 36 points away from surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time points record. Will James break the record on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, or will he wait until Thursday against Abdul-Jabbar's former team, the Milwaukee Bucks?

Here are our best LeBron James player prop picks for Tuesday (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook, PointsBet, and BetRivers; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Tuesday's LeBron James player props

  • Under 33.5 points (-115 via PointsBet) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Over 7.5 assists (+112 via BetRivers) ⭐⭐
  • Under 8.5 rebounds (+110 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Under 33.5 points (-115 via PointsBet) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I think James would prefer to break this record on Thursday against the Bucks on TNT, a game which features the two teams Abdul-Jabbar played for during his NBA career.

On top of that juicy narrative, Tuesday's total is statistically too high for James, so even without Thursday's storybook scenario, I would be looking to bet Under on this point total.

James is projected to score just over 30 points, which is three points short of his total. This is a significant difference when it comes to a points prop, especially when betting an Under. And yet, given what's at stake and the potential liability the sportsbooks may face on the Over, it's not surprising to see his total inflated.

FanDuel boasting such a high total allows the sportsbook to adjust its 35+ points prop in order to align with the 32.5 total. This means FanDuel will be able to offer worse odds on the 35+, which people will bet on if they believe James will break the record on Tuesday.

The only sportsbook offering this prop at 33.5 is PointsBet, but I wouldn't be surprised if the rest follow suit as the day progresses.

Over 7.5 assists (+112 via BetRivers) ⭐⭐

If James doesn't intend to set the all-time points record on Tuesday, he'll need to find other ways to help the Lakers create offense and beat the Thunder. I believe that, if you're going to bet on the Under on James' points, you must also consider the Over on his assists.

I'm seeing James projected for 7.6 assists on Tuesday against the Thunder, which is below the eight assists needed to win the prop – but the key is the +112 price point available at BetRivers.

The over 7.5 should trade at +100 rather than +112 with our projection of 7.6 assists, so you're still talking about a very slight edge here.

In the event that you're reading this right before tipoff, and the Under has moved into minus money across the board, I wouldn't place a bet on this prop.

Under 8.5 rebounds (+110 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

James has been crushing his rebounding prop over the past few weeks, but the inflation in his odds was not limited to Tuesday's points market.

James typically trades at a total of 7.5 rebounds, but due to history on the line and the likelihood of high liability for the sportsbooks, we're seeing this prop trade at 8.5 with increased juice on the Over.

James is projected to have 7.9 rebounds on Tuesday, so in addition to the projections that predict the Under, you also receive a +110 for that outcome to occur. Using these projections, the Under should be trading at -145 rather than +110.

I'm giving this one four stars since it has a positive expected value of 24%.
