The Cleveland Cavaliers are the NBA betting odds favorite for their match tonight against the Utah Jazz, even after last night's loss to Portland 80 to 101.

Tip-off is scheduled tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET at Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Sportsbooks will always give Cleveland the respect and this game is no different as 5 Dimes Sportsbook lists the Cavs as a 5 point betting favorite on the road and the total for the game is 202.

Utah is by no means a pushover. They have a lot of budding young superstars such as Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors. Cleveland looked lost yesterday as they couldn't hit a shot to save their lives against Portland. If we see a similar performance by here, the Cavs are in jeopardy of losing this game also.

11 Points
This is the total that Lebron James ended up with in a 101-82 loss to Portland. This was the lowest scoring output from James in 6 years!

Shooting only 4 of 12 from the field, clearly Lebron James and the rest of the Cavaliers need to figure out their roles on this squad. In order for Cleveland to win, Lebron must be the lead dog and put up more than 12 shots. I witnessed this game and the entire Cavaliers offense, except for Kevin Love, looked lost.

After a performance like that, the first thing that a good team wants to do is get right back on the court and the Cavaliers offense will get to face a Utah defense that ranks 28th in the NBA, allowing 105.5 points per game. Simply put, don't expect another 3 for 17 shooting performance from Kyrie Irving and look for a big game out of LBJ, who has averaged nearly 30 points per game against the Jazz for his career.

Growing Pains
Utah isn't expected to be a winning teams this season, but they're a team that contains great depth and a positive future with a lot of young talent. The Jazz possess 6 players that score in double figures and are led by the offense of forward Gordon Hayward. Hayward is really starting to get in the groove. In his last 2 games, he's averaging 25.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4 assists. This is a player that doesn't seek the limelight, but can do it all.

The Jazz also contain the massive 6 foot 10, 260 pound Derrick Favors. Favors has the potential of being a double-double man. Favors will look to bounce back from a poor 6 point outing in a 107-101 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in which he shot the basketball just 4 times. This is coming after a 32 point performance against Phoenix. Look for Derrick Favors to play a key role in tonight's game as the Cleveland Cavaliers are the NBA odds favorite to win the NBA Championship.

One major weakness to Utah's squad is they lack a pure point guard. Alec Burks is listed as the point guard and although he's a good scorer, he's not much of a ball distributor, averaging a mere 2.5 assists per game. Hayward plays many roles and is the closest thing to a point guard on this team.

Look for a bounce back performance from the Cavaliers. They couldn't hit the side of a barn yesterday against Portland and I expect for Lebron James and Kyrie Irving to redeem themselves against a team that doesn't play defensive. Take Cleveland as your NBA picks.
