Lakers vs. Knicks Predictions, Player Props, Odds & Picks for Feb. 1

The New York Knicks (32-16) have won five in a row and are double-digit favorites when they host the Los Angeles Lakers (27-19) at 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
Though this could be one of LeBron James’ last visits to Madison Square Garden, the Lakers appear overmatched without Anthony Davis. The Knicks have scored 143 points in two of their past three outings.

Best Lakers vs. Knicks prop predictions
LeBron James prop pick: Over 1.5 3-pointers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
LeBron James hasn’t made multiple 3-pointers in a contest since Jan. 21, but I expect him to snap the five-game drought on Saturday.
James has attempted four or fewer 3-pointers in four of his past five outings. That volume will increase in a game when the Lakers are sizable underdogs. James knows better than anyone that the Lakers need some 3-point variance to have a chance in New York.
James is averaging 2.1 triples this season, so I’ll take the -130 value on him to knock down multiple 3-pointers in Madison Square Garden.
Best odds: -130 via bet365 | Implied probability: 56.52%
Austin Reaves prop pick: Under 21.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Austin Reaves should have a more prominent role without Davis, but this line is a touch high based on what the Lakers guard has done lately. Reaves scored 17 points on 6-of-14 shooting against the Washington Wizards on Thursday and has reached 22-plus points only once in his past seven games.
The spread for this matchup suggests blowout potential, which could lead to Reaves getting fewer minutes (and shot attempts) than expected. Reaves hasn’t attempted more than 15 shots in a game since Jan. 17.
At most of our best NBA betting sites, this line is as low as 20.5, so I’m taking advantage of this discount at FanDuel.
Best odds: -122 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 54.95%
Jalen Brunson prop pick: Over 7.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐
New York point guard Jalen Brunson put on a show in Wednesday’s win over the Denver Nuggets, finishing with 30 points and 15 assists. It marked the second time in the past three games that Brunson has finished with double-digit dimes.
Brunson is a physical point guard, which is the matchup that Lakers guard Max Christie has struggled with in his young career. I don’t expect Brunson to be slowed down much as the quarterback of New York’s offense, so I’d take this Over at -119 or better.
Best odds: -110 via bet365 | Implied probability: 52.38%
