DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo reportedly signed with the Lakers. Cousins agreed to a one-year, veteran's minimum deal while Rondo returns on a two-year veteran's minimum deal.

Cousins and Rondo will reunite former Pelicans teammate Anthony Davis. The three of them played together in New Orleans in the 2017-18 season.

Anthony Davis (plus-8.5 Box Plus/Minus) averaged 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.4 blocks and 1.6 steals, shooting 51.7 percent and 33.1 percent from 3-point range in 33.0 minutes over just 56 games last season and he was third in the NBA with a 30.3 Player Efficiency Rating (PER), just behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden.

Basketball is a team sport and LeBron James and Anthony Davis can't do it all by themselves, which is why the Lakers are building a roster with decent depth and playmakers, after missing out on Kawhi Leonard.

Lakers Roster & Starting Lineup With DeMarcus Cousins

*Notates expected starter

C: DeMarcus Cousins*, JaVale McGee
PF: Anthony Davis*, Kyle Kuzma, Talen Horton-Tucker
SF: LeBron James*, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Jared Dudley
SG: Danny Green*, Troy Daniels
PG: Rajon Rondo*, Quinn Cook, Alex Caruso

With JaVale McGee, the Lakers get back a big man that played at a high level last season, averaging 12.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 22.3 minutes over 75 games (62 starts).
