The Warriors head into LA to play the Lakers. The NBA odds have opened for this one at -13 in favor of the road Dubs, but will the Lakers’ surprise everyone and keep this one close?

NBA Pick: Warriors -13.5

Kobe’s Injury and Warriors’ On No Rest
There are a couple of big injuries for the Lakers tonight along with the host of Warriors still a little banged up, and it was one of the reasons why these NBA odds were so late to come out. Both Kobe Bryant and D’Angelo Russell are questionable for tonight’s game against the Warriors, and you can bet that if both of those guys don’t play, the NBA odds in this one are a bargain at -13 where they are at now. Bryant was at the facility yesterday receiving treatment, but according to Byron Scott, his shoulder is still giving him some issues. Russell is apparently dealing with some sort of sickness, so he will likely be a game time decision tonight for the Lakers.

Even though the Warriors have not won many road games by double figures since the beginning of December, this is still the Lakers here, and playing in LA is almost like a home game for these Warriors, who have basically taken over as California’s team. Golden State has already decimated the Lakers once earlier in the season in Oakland, 111-77, and moving the game down to LA shouldn’t affect the Warriors too much.

Golden State is also getting healthier as we head into 2016. Harrison Barnes is back after missing almost two months with an ankle injury, and even though he didn’t play last night, Festus Ezeli is also back to help in the middle for this Warriors team.

With Draymond Green going nuts with three straight games with a triple double, I find it hard to believe that the young Lakers are going to slow down Golden State in this one. While Stephen Curry is a little banged up right now, he is still healthy enough to throw up 30 points last night with five threes, and while the back to back is slightly concerning for this team, the Warriors are 6-2 ATS this season when playing on no rest. With the possibility that Bryant and Russell might miss this game, the Warriors should have no problem winning and covering this one.

The Sharp Pick
The Lakers are only 3-7 ATS in their last ten meetings with the Warriors, and while they beat the Warriors once last season, I wouldn’t read too much into that. Even at home the Lakers have trouble scoring the ball, and are averaging only 96.6 points per game when playing at Staples Center this year. The Warriors have not been great playing defense on the road this season as they give up 107.5 points per game when playing away from Oracle Arena. However, with the Warriors averaging more points per game on the road this season than at home, it should have very little affect on their chances of covering tonight. Even after the hard fought game just 24 hours ago, lay the points with your NBA picks before the NBA odds shoot up to -15 or higher tonight.
