The big question for the Nuggets tonight is if star guard Gary Harris will be ready to play against the Knicks. Should that affect your approach with your NBA picks?

According to NBA Wowy -- a site that measures players and team’s production with certain guys on and off the court -- the Nuggets’ offense loses about five points per 100 possessions with Gary Harris off the court.

That’s a big jump, so if he does not play tonight while dealing with a mid-foot sprain, the Nuggets’ offense might take a noticeable step back. However, against a Knicks team that has cashed the over eight straight and 10 of their last 11, I like the over in this one with my NBA picks.

Even though the Nuggets have cashed the under in seven straight games, the Knicks have been fantastic cashing the over against the West. New York is 14-8 cashing the over in non-conference games, and in games on the road against Western teams, the Knicks have cashed the over at 7-3 this season.

The first time these two teams met, back in October, the final score was 116-110 New York. With Tim Hardaway Jr. back and Kristaps Porzingis probable for this game, I like the Knicks' chances of putting some points on the board. If this is the case, it might not matter if Harris plays. However, if he does, this is a fine over value based on the number on the NBA odds board.
