The Cleveland Cavaliers have been starting hot recently and that could play in to our NBA Pick on the Cavs and Sacramento Kings tonight. Even with a sky-high spread of -12 ½ in favor of the Cavs, there is value in these NBA Odds tonight.

Cleveland continues to roll through the league winning 12 in a row coming in to Tuesday night. They are almost surely going to extend that streak to 13 games after tonight, but there is also a chance this could be a trap game. I’m not sold on the Kings whatsoever, but I’m also concerned about Cleveland letting their foot off the gas pedal in the second half like they have done in two straight home games.

However, one thing that is almost assured is a fast start from the Cavs. Sacramento’s defense is horrible, and it’s been really bad in the first half and on the road. The Kings are getting outscored an average of 56-46 in the first halves of their 13 road games this season.

The Cavs, on the other hand, have been really good in the first two quarters this season and lately. They are averaging 57 first-half points at home this season and they are averaging a first-half lead of 63.6 to 51.6 over their last five games.

This is also the first game of three games in four-night stretch for the Cavs, where they will play Indiana and Philadelphia on back-to-back nights Friday and Saturday. It’s going to be very important that the Cavs finish off the Kings early in this one, so they can rest up for the two much tougher games coming up later in the week.

I think they know this, and combined with the recent play of both teams, Cleveland’s first-half number looks ripe for the picking.
