The Pelicans are one game into life without DeMarcus Cousins. That could increase their pace of play, but it is definitely going to hurt their interior defense, so tonight's game against the Kings could hold extra betting value.

Without DeMarcus Cousins in their last game, the Pelicans gave up 112 points and lost SU to the Clippers. Tonight the Pelicans host the Kings, and even though Sacramento’s offense is not good, they could still score into the 100s against a smaller frontcourt.

Despite not having Willie Cauley-Stein tonight, the Kings still have some big bodies to throw at the Pelicans, and that could lead to a few more points for Sacramento. Earlier this season with Cousins in the lineup, the Kings dropped 116 points against the Pelicans in New Orleans, so don’t think it can’t be done tonight as well.

The Kings’ offense is averaging less than 100 points per game on the road this season, but tonight they are playing a team giving up nearly 113 points per game at home.

The "over" on the NBA odds board looks too good to pass up. The total has gone up four points since it opened, and with my NBA picks I am following the sharp action in this one.
