The only late-night betting option in the NBA on Tuesday is from Oakland as the Utah Jazz visit the Golden State Warriors in a potential playoff preview televised by TNT.

Thus, the Warriors’ game vs. Utah is the only matchup to tip after 8 p.m. ET.

Want to make the NBA (and NHL) playoff more interesting? Let the top-seeded team in each conference pick its first-round opponent, and then on down the line, instead of just doing 1 vs. 8, etc. I say this because Golden State probably finishes with the top record in the West. The No. 8 seed figures to be the Spurs, Clippers, Kings or Lakers. It also could be the Jazz, and I assure the Warriors woulsd rather face those four other clubs than Utah.

The Jazz are a good defensive team and have given the Warriors fits in the regular season of late. Last year, Utah took three of four. This season, the clubs have split – both in Salt Lake City and each decided by five points or fewer.

Including playoffs, Golden State is 13-6 at home vs. Utah this decade, however. Unless they do meet in the postseason, this will be the Jazz’s last-ever game in Oakland with it the final meeting of the year and the Dubs heading to San Francisco starting next season.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

The @warriors overcome 19 point deficit to outlast @MiamiHEAT in Oracle! pic.twitter.com/3YXHxfQ5Zi
— NBA (@NBA) February 11, 2019
\n\n"}[/]

Bet Jazz Or Warriors ATS?

Utah closed a four-game homestand at 3-1 with Saturday’s 125-105 rout of San Antonio – all three wins were by at least 16 points. Donovan Mitchell had 23 points and All-Star snub Rudy Gobert 21 points, 13 rebounds and four assists. Ridiculous that Gobert wasn’t named an All-Star reserve as he’s neck and neck with Joel Embiid for the NBA double-double lead and averaging 15.2 points (65.3 percent shooting), 12.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks.

Gobert is a big reason why the Jazz are again one of the league’s top defensive teams, allowing 105.8 points (fourth). They have held opponents under 100 points 18 times, second-best in the league (Indiana).

Golden State trailed visiting Miami by as many as 19 on Sunday night but rallied for a 120-118 victory, the Dubs’ 15th in the past 16 games. DeMarcus Cousins corralled an offensive rebound with just over five seconds left and was fouled. He hit two free throws for the winning margin.

Kevin Durant led by with 39 points despite just one made three-pointer – which tied the game with 43 seconds to go (even though he should have been called for a double-dribble). Klay Thompson had 29 and Steph Curry 25. It was the sixth game this season that trio each scored at least 25 points. That's the most such games by any NBA trio since Golden State’s Run TMC of Tim Hardaway, Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond in the 1990-91 season. Andre Iguodala sat Sunday with a sore hamstring.

Warriors are 4-12-1 ATS in their last 17 home games.

Jazz are 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

Warriors will win but Jazz will keep it close. They have covered the past five in this series and will make it six for a Tuesday NBA bet.
