Utah is a vey good team, but they are suddenly dealing with more injuries to their starting frontcourt, and on the second night of a back to back in Cleveland, that could spell bad news against one of the league’s best teams.

The Jazz had another big win on Friday night on the road against the Boston Celtics. However, they may have lost more than they won last night, as both Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors had to leave the game because of injury.

Favors’ injury was an eye laceration, and he is probably day-to-day, but likely questionable heading in to Cleveland in Saturday night.

Rudy Gobert’s injury is a little more serious. He is set to undergo an MRI on his knee after having to be helped off the court on Friday. He is likely out on Saturday with that the team is calling an MCL sprain. We won’t know anything more about the severity if the injury until after the MRI, but it’s probably a stretch to expect him to play in this one.

That leaves a tired and not very big Jazz team to face off against a rested Cavs team tonight assuming Favors and Gobert are out. With a spread of -11, it may not be enough with the Cavs finally hitting their stride.

The Cavs have won 16 of their last 17 games and even though Cleveland has been horrible at home ATS, that has to turn around sometime. Considering the Jazz are only 5-8 ATS on the road this season, I think it’s finally time to trust the Cavs ATS at home tonight, because despite the big spread, if the Jazz are without their big men, it might not be big enough.
