What Jarrett Culver did for Texas Tech hasn't gone unnoticed by NBA teams and recent mock drafts and rumors project him to go as high as No. 3.

Since the NBA Draft Lottery ended, most analysts assumed that the first three players off the board would be Duke forward Zion Williamson as the consensus first overall pick, Murray State's incredible point guard Ja Morant and Williamson's teammate RJ Barrett, who many believe could have the best overall talent in this class but don't sleep on Jarrett Culver.

Sean Deveney of Sporting News reported that the Knicks, who are picking third and expected to take RJ Barrett, might be rethinking what they'll do because Culver is flying up draft boards after having excellent pre-draft workouts. This may push RJ Barrett to the Lakers at No. 4, so keep this in mind once sportsbooks release betting odds for the NBA Draft.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Pro day🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/AE04rLYv90
— jarrett culver (@jarrettc08) May 25, 2019
"}[/]

Jarrett Culver had a solid freshman year where he averaged 11.2 points and 4.8 rebounds while helping Texas Tech advance to the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament and his leadership role last season helped his team end Kansas' Big 12 title streak. NBA teams are always looking for impact two-way wing players, which explains his climb up draft boards.

The sophomore guard was the biggest reason for Texas Tech's success last season Culver averaged 18.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals on 46.1 percent shooting from the field and 30.4 percent from 3-point range in 32.5 minutes over 38 games.

Culver proved to be an athletic swingman with superb potential and he isn't afraid of the moment, as seen in Texas Tech's 69-58 loss against Duke on December 20 at Madison Square Garden, when he had 25 points, six rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes.

Not being afraid to shoot from anywhere on the court is key in the NBA and his skills off-ball are very impressive. He has a sense of awareness to continue to move and find weaknesses in the defense and the way he plays and how he disrupts offenses with his length and timing has drawn comparisons to Jimmy Butler.

Culver has impacted games at both ends of the court and his career arc can be similar to Butler's, turning from a defensive specialist into a four-time NBA All-Star.
