I don’t have much faith in the Pacers, especially on the road, but they haven’t been too bad when playing against West teams away from home -- and considering Sacramento’s shortcomings on defense, these late-night NBA odds are perfect for a teaser.
Indiana Pacers Vs. Sacramento Kings
I was at the Pacers’ last game on Monday, and if it weren’t for Anthony Davis getting hurt mid-game, they would have lost. Indiana almost completely choked away the game at the end by missing free throws and poor defense, but tonight against the Kings I could see them refocusing on the road.
Indiana can win this game, but I do not feel confident in the Pacers doing that. However, teasing them up to +6½ underdogs is enough points for me to take that and the 'over.'
The spread is the toughest wager, but the Pacers usually fight pretty hard on the road. Even though they are an atrocious 5-14 SU and ATS on the road, the Pacers are only 3-4 ATS when playing on in true road games against non-conference opponents.
That for me is the tipping point with this one. The Pacers rarely get blown out on the road, and against a poor defensive team like the Kings if the Pacers play to their potential, they’ll drop 115 points and win by five or six in this one. Having them as +6½ underdogs is stealing value if the real Pacers show up. They have played well on offense lately and won six of seven games SU, so I’ll take them over a Kings team that is 2-6 ATS in its last eight home games.
