Chicago and Charlotte are likely lottery teams, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t money to be made on this matchup. In fact, the value with this total is sky high.

We have reached the point in the season when the tanking teams will be tanking harder and harder. The Bulls have been tanking since the start of the year, but the Hornets are -- for whatever reason -- holding out hope they can make the playoffs.

Before the All-Star break, Charlotte making the playoffs seemed farfetched. However, it looks like the rest did the Hornets some good; they have won all three of their games SU and ATS since the break.

A big reason for their recent success is their offense. Look at the beat-down they put on the Wizards a few nights ago playing on no rest. It was about as impressive as I’ve seen the Hornets all year:

Over their last three games the Hornets are averaging 117.3 points per 100 possessions, so if the Bulls start to push the pace a little in this one, choosing the "over" with your NBA picks looks like a fine value play for Tuesday’s short slate.

The Bulls played at a pace of nearly 105 possessions per game in their past two contests, and it led to them allowing 122 points to the Timberwolves and 116 to the 76ers. With the Hornets’ offense playing well and the Bulls’ defense playing on no rest, and based on the number on the NBA odds board, look for the "over" to cash.
