Our teasers haven’t been too successful, but for the Suns and Lakers tonight, it looks like one of the better teaser picks of the day. With the Lakers -8 home favorites, what can expect from them after consecutive wins?

The Lakers finished their recent road swing the right way by beating the Nets and Thunder. Now they get a chance to gain a third win in a row against a Suns team without their best player.

Devin Booker is out tonight and possibly longer as he deals with a hip injury. While that will open up minutes all over the place for Phoenix, it might not hurt the offense as much as initial reactions might lead you to believe.

According to Booker’s On/Off charts on Basketball Reference, the Suns own an offensive rating of about 105 if Booker is on or off the court. Either way it’s not good, but if the Lakers relax on defense at home against a bad team without their best player, the Suns could run up the score in what could be one of the fastest paced games of the night.

The last time these two played one another, in November, the Suns won 122-113. Although I doubt we see a score that high tonight, a final around 115-107 is not out of the question.

The Lakers’ offense is still playing well despite continuing to be without Lonzo Ball. L.A. is averaging 107 points per game over its last five, and in divisional games this season they are scoring more than 109 points per game.

Even in their fourth meeting against the Suns, the Lakers could still put up 120-plus tonight, which would almost surely lead to the "over" based on the NBA odds board. The "over" is 2-1 in their first three meetings, and the Suns come into this one cashing the over in three of their last four games.

Combine all this in a teaser, and with your NBA picks you have a nice wager teasing the Lakers down to -3. They could win by double figures, but with the "over" as a solid wager, I think a teaser makes it even safer.
