Miami probably wouldn’t mind losing and falling out of the sixth seed in the East. Compare that to Oklahoma City, which desperately needs a win. This could be a one-sided affair.

The NBA has a very obvious tanking problem. Non-playoff teams are aggressively tanking for draft positioning and it’s a bad look for the league right now. Hopefully the NBA can use one of the 10,000 different options available to them to prevent teams from tanking.

Tonight, however, we might see some covert tanking from a team actually heading to the playoffs.

The Heat are in the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference. Factoring in the injury to Boston's Kyrie Irving, and Toronto's past playoff failures, the Heat probably don’t mind falling down a spot or two to set up a first-round playoff series with one of those teams.

I think the Heat, Bucks and Wizards will be fighting to play the Raptors or Celtics, because the alternative is the Philadelphia 76ers. That is a tougher matchup right now even with Joel Embiid not quite healthy. If Embiid is back by the playoffs, it’s definitely a matchup to avoid for the Heat.

For tonight's game, Miami is a +3 home underdog on the NBA odds board. With your NBA picks, considering the Thunder are in a must-win game and the Heat don’t care whether they win or lose, take Oklahoma City and lay the points.
