Miami and Atlanta are both strong defensive teams, and with the All-Star Break come and gone we might see just that from a couple of rusty teams that have a tendency to struggle on offense at times.

Heat At Hawks

The All-Star Break probably helped both the Heat and Hawks get some much-needed rest, and if both are planning on making the playoffs, the stretch run starts tonight against one another. The Heat and Hawks have both been strong defensive teams at times this season, but their inconsistency on that end of the floor has been the biggest reasons why these teams have looked good one week and horrible the next.

Their offenses could have something to do with that as well. Atlanta has struggled to score virtually all season, and if it weren’t for the Heat’s 13-game winning streak before the break, they, too, would have a bottom-feeding offense.

Now we are here after the break, where teams have likely not picked up a basketball in over a week. That could really hurt the offense in this game, especially the outside shooting. At a total of 208 points, this one is a fine 'under' play for the first game back from the break,

The Heat are 18-12 cashing the 'under' on the road this season, while the Hawks are 8-3 cashing the 'under' in games against divisional opponents. I see a final score much-like their last meeting against one another in Atlanta tonight, also add the under to your NBA picks.
