It is hard to describe in words sometimes how good the Golden State Warriors are this season. Tonight we are going to look at the total when they face the Atlanta Hawks. Free NBA Picks inside.

NBA odds experts have come out making the total for this game at 225 like at Bet Online -110.  Although that is a big number compared to their last final for my NBA pick today I will back over the total.  The pace and tempo was high enough for a high  scoring game last time but neither team shot as well as they are capable of.

Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta ranks fourth in the NBA shooting 51.3% on their two-point shots, and rank sixth in effective field-goal percentage at 51.4% per game. The last time out Atlanta went into the fourth quarter at home against Golden State trailing by just one point and then just simply found themselves the victims of another Warriors win. They did an outstanding job that game defensively holding the Warriors to shoot under 44% from the field and just 31% from distance. However, the pace was there the whole game and both Atlanta and Golden State put up more field goal attempts than they normally do per average. I expect tonight for the flow of the game to be similar but for more shots to drop. In their last 10 games, except for their last game versus Charlotte, Atlanta has been pushing tempo a lot more averaging closer to 87-90 attempts per game as opposed to their 84.2 average on the season. They move the ball as well as anyone in the league and they should be able to score tonight against the up-tempo Warriors.

Golden State Warriors
Golden State averages 115.4 points per game and rank first in the NBA in effective, three point, and two point shooting percentages, as well as shooting efficiency. We faded them their last two games and although OKC really should have covered the points they were getting sometimes games can have some strange finishes. Defensively they have some overall nice statistics but the pace is really what I'm looking at tonight.  Golden State allows opponents an average of 90 field-goal attempts per game which ranks second to last in the NBA. Tonight I think there is some good value in backing over the total because of the tempo and that the Warriors have scored a lot in their last three games coming back from road trips averaging about 116 points in those contests. With the way Atlanta has been putting up more attempts recently and the way Golden State is simply Golden State, I think we will see plenty of points when these two meet tonight.
