The Memphis Grizzlies (19-9 SU, 6-6 ATS away) will be on the road this evening to face the underachieving Boston Celtics  and we can expect both teams to be batting for the win.

But, which team will beat the framed out NBA odds?

Tip off in this one is set for 7:30 PM EST from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts and can be seen live on television with broadcast coverage provided by CSN and SportsSouth.

The current line on the game gives the advantage to the visiting team, as Memphis is listed as -2 ½ point road favorites, while the over/under total comes in at just 180 points.

Even though Memphis enters this contest ten games above .500, they have struggled a bit lately, losing three of their last four games, including a defeat to the Indiana Pacers on New Years Eve by a score of 88-83. Memphis also let the bettors down in that game, as they failed to cover the -1 ½ point spread by losing the game outright.

Memphis is a team that is built around its defense. Currently, they are the toughest team in the league to score against, as they are holding opponents to no more than 90 points per game.

That said, the Grizzlies are only 2-5 ATS in their last seven match-ups following a game where they failed to cover the point spread.

Wednesday's NBA Picks of the day~

Memphis is also 1-5 against the spread in their last six games played on the road and 0-4-1 in their last five when going up against a team with a losing straight up record.

The Grizzlies have stayed under the posted total in four of their last five games played on the road and 17 of 22 versus Eastern Conference opponents.

Meanwhile, Boston has lost three straight games and seven of ten. They have been an average to below average team all season.

In fact, they fall in the middle of the pact with their offensive and defensive numbers, as their 95.9 points per game and their 98.1 points allowed both come in at 17th best in the league.

Boston has been even worse against the spread. They are a poor 2-8 ATS in their last ten games overall and 0-6 in their last six versus Western Conference opponents.

They have managed to go over the posted total in four of their last five games played on their home floor.

Free Pick

Memphis has clearly been the better team since the season started, but most if not all of their success comes at home. As far Boston goes, they have a winning record on their home floor, but do not look unstoppable by any means. Memphis should cruise out of Bean Town with the straight up win and point spread cover.
