The Warriors and Clippers both got back to winning on Saturday night after dropping their previous games. Let’s see how these two Western Conference powers match up as they prepare to tip off at the Staples Center on Monday night.

Kevin Durant led the way with a double-double (28 points, 11 assists) but it was Quinn Cook who stepped up in place of the ailing Steph Curry, who suffered a groin injury in the 134-111 loss to Milwaukee two days prior, and drilled a career high 27 points in the victory. Draymond Green also sat out on Saturday night with a toe injury.

The LA Clippers also got back on track after a loss on Thursday night when they outlasted the Bucks in a 128-126 overtime thriller with veteran Sweet Lou Williams hitting a driving layup as time expired. The Clippers have won and covered three of four as they welcome the Warriors in the first of four regular season meetings with their Pacific division rivals.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

Saturday night highlights from the squad 🔊 #JBLxGSW pic.twitter.com/p8bsWv7eEh
— Golden State Warriors (@warriors) November 11, 2018
\n\n"}[/]

These teams last met in February when the Warriors hosted the Clippers at the Oracle Arena and drew away to a 134-127 win but failed to cover the 10 ½ point impost. Golden State is now a dominating 11-1 straight up versus the Clippers over their last 12 meetings but a much more pedestrian 7-5 ATS in those games. The difficulty in capping this contest is getting a read on the status of Curry and Green not only in terms of their availability but how hampered will they be by their respective injuries if they are suited up and ready to go in this one.

The NBA odds board will be a good barometer but neither injury is serious and reports are that Curry has been working with trainer Rick Celebrini on what has been disclosed as a mild to moderate groin strain. Head coach Steve Kerr had this to say, "I saw him this morning (Saturday). He had better mobility, less pain so it's a good sign."

The Warriors have a nice insurance policy in Cook, the undrafted 25-year-old out of Duke, who does not melt in front of the bright lights when called upon to do so in Curry’s absence. Golden State has owned the Clippers over their last dozen games and LA may still be winded after their big win over a talented Bucks’ team just two nights ago. There are some interesting stats moving in GSW’s favor:

Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.

Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on one day’s rest.

Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.

Warriors are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.

Warriors are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.

Warriors are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Pacific.

Clippers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous game.

Clippers are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games following an ATS win.

The Warriors are deep enough to handle the Clips with or without Curry and Green but it should be noted that the odds will reflect their inclusion or exclusion so either way, include the Golden State in your NBA picks and watch the Warriors win as you cash.
