Because there are so many games on the schedule tonight, there's bound to be some value out there. Which total play are we digging most when considering our final NBA picks for Friday?

Odds Overview
Fresh off getting embarrassed by the Trail Blazers last night, there's no rest for the Mavericks, who now get the "honor" of playing the best team in the league right now in Golden State. At the moment, Dallas is getting a 10.5-point head start from NBA odds makers, which just goes to show you how dominant the Warriors have been, especially at home.

However, we're more interested in a total play here, and the O/U is listed at 207.5 for now. The Warriors and Mavericks rank first and fourth in the NBA in points scored per game, so you can see why the total is as high as it is.

Golden State Warriors
There have been more losses than normal in recent weeks, but the Warriors are still heads and shoulders above everyone else in the Western Conference, at least for now. They'll also be feeling good about themselves after a nine-point win over Milwaukee on Wednesday night, especially since they were actually losing at halftime.

The thing about Golden State is you can never really count them out, even if they get down big. Stephen Curry started off slow, but he found his groove and finished with 19 points and 11 assists in the win. Draymond Green was the standout though, compiling 23 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks in an all-around outstanding effort.

So, just how good have Curry, Green and the Warriors been offensively? They're averaging a ridiculous 110.0 points per game, easily the highest mark in the NBA, and they're also tops in assists (27.2). When they get hot, they're practically unstoppable, and that seems to happen more often than not. The Splash Brothers have been a formidable force all season long and are sure to give Dallas problems again tonight.

Dallas Mavericks
Recent results have been less than desirable for the Mavericks, as they come into tonight having dropped three of their last four. Everything fell apart last night though, with Dallas getting blown out of the gym by Portland despite having the fresher legs. The Mavericks were only two-point underdogs but they lost by 19.

It's hard to find many positives from the loss. Not very often are you going to see a team as talented as Dallas score just 75 points. The Mavericks shot 37.5 percent from the field overall and were a horrific 2-of-16 (12.5 percent) from the field. No Mav scored more than 12 points in the blowout loss either.

The good news? It's hard to envision it getting any worse for Dallas after that kind of performance. Hopefully that will be a wakeup call for the Mavericks, who really can't afford to keep slipping up in what's shaping up to be a heated race in the Western Conference. There are a ton of teams vying for playoff seeds, so Dallas has to get their act together sooner rather than later.

NBA Pick
The Mavericks were awful last night, to put it mildly, but we think they'll fare a lot better offensively in what should be an up-tempo game against the Warriors.

Yes, Golden State has been sound defensively, but that hasn't been at the expense of a fast pace to their play. Assuming Dallas can knock down some shots and stay competitive, we think the OVER has a great chance of hitting.

We know the Warriors aren't going to have trouble scoring the basketball, and if the Mavericks are able to hang around and find some rhythm, we like the chances of a cash for those taking the OVER with their Friday's NBA picks. Good luck and enjoy what should be a terrific game!
