The Oklahoma City Thunder have lost three in a row and are the NBA's most underachieving team this season. Can OKC begin a tunaround on Friday night vs. visiting Minnesota?
The Thunder are going to turn things around this season. I have no doubt that either Billy Donovan will be fired or Carmelo Anthony gets traded, or they just don’t do anything and figure it out with time. All of these things I can say with some confidence, but for the Wolves it’s hard to see them anything more than a lower-tier playoff team. They beat who they are supposed to most of the time, but that’s not good enough for anyone's expectations of this team.
Now heading in to Oklahoma City, the Wolves stand little chance tonight. However, with the way the Thunder have been struggling this game looks ripe for a teaser to help us out in the value department.
Teasing the Thunder down to a pick'em and moving down the total for the 'over' is the way to go in my eyes. Both times these two have played this season the total has gone 'over,' and being able to tease the 209½ number down to 204½ should be easy money.
The Wolves are allowing 110 points per game on the road, and they have given up 113 and 116 points to the Thunder in two games this season. The Thunder haven’t exactly played much defense in those two games, either, but their offense is generally much better at home, which is what I’m banking on.
