It’s a massive slate of NBA games tonight, and it’s only the third Friday of the regular season left. While that may be hard to believe, we don’t have any time to look back. It’s time to keep it moving forward with two more winning NBA picks.

Two-Team Teaser

Even on a big slate of games tonight, there are tons of double-digit favorites with good teams playing tanking clubs. That means blowouts might be abundant, but that could also mean we see some nice NBA odds for a couple of teasers.

Early in the evening there are a ton of spreads that warrant questioning, but the odds for the Nets-Raptors are especially large at -12 in favor of Toronto. Even though the Nets have been good at blowing up chalky favorites with a backdoor cover, Toronto is in a mission to lock up their playoff seeding, and this current homestand will go a long way in deciding whether they can rest some players down the stretch.

Even with the Nets 23-13 ATS on the road this season, teasing down the Raptors to -7 from -12 should be a great first leg of our teaser. The Raptors have won all three games against the Nets this season SU, and in the Nets’ last trip to Toronto, the Raptors won by 33 points. While I doubt Brooklyn gets blown out like they did way back in December, the Raptors should have little trouble covering their teaser odds.

On the second leg, the only answer tonight is Stephen Curry and the Warriors vs. Atlanta. The Hawks are coming off a game Thursday, and even though the Warriors are super-banged up right now, they should be getting back Curry and that should be enough to cover these teaser odds.

Even with the Warriors coming off a bad loss, Curry is going to make things better. As long as he isn’t on a minutes limit, he’s going to have a usage rate of 40-plus percent. Against a Hawks team playing the second of a back-to-back and their third game in four nights, the Warriors are going to run the Hawks out of the building behind Curry. Despite their recent success, Atlanta is only 2-4 ATS in their last six road games.

Heat vs. Thunder

With Hassan Whiteside out again on Friday night, the Heat defense is going to have no answer for the talented Thunder, especially on the road. Without their starting center, the Heat might see some regression from their last three games, especially if the Thunder come out hot. Without Whiteside on the court this season, the Heat have a 110.6 offensive rating according to Basketball Reference, and while their pace isn’t that good with Whiteside off the court, OKC may change that.

The Heat have also been very good offensively since the All-Star Break. They have the 6th-best offensive rating since the break and surprisingly both of these teams have been playing at a pace of around 100 possessions per game since the break.

These teams have yet to play one another this season, but lately both teams have found offensive success and have had a few issues defensively. The Heat are allowing 115.6 points per game over their last five and the Thunder are allowing 113.6 during that stretch.

Even though their double-overtime game from a few nights ago is inflating those averages, the Thunder have also been solid offensively lately, averaging 115.4 points per game in their last five. All things considered, look for a faster-paced game with both teams making shots. That should lead to the 'over' being a good play.
