Jason Kidd’s club completes its three-game road trip with Saturday’s NBA betting matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Brooklyn Nets pulled out a 100-98 overtime win in Friday’s battle with the Phoenix Suns, collecting as a one-point favorite.

Nets, Lopez outlast Suns

Brooklyn’s Joe Johnson connected his side’s game-winning bucket at the end of the contest’s extra period, finishing with 13 points in 45 minutes of action. Nets forward Kevin Garnett grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds, while mate Brook Lopez knocked down 9-of-16 floor shots en route to 27 points.

Lopez added three of his squad’s four blocks, with guard Shaun Livingston coming away with six assists and two steals off the bench. Brooklyn sank 22-of-29 free throws, while both teams logged double-digit leads in the back-and-forth affair.

The contest’s combined 198 points jumped above the ‘total’ of 197, lifting the OVER to 3-2 in the Nets’ last five games. Brooklyn’s Deron Williams left the contest in the first quarter with a sprained ankle, remaining “doubtful” to return for Saturday’s duel.

Saturday NBA Picks of the Day

Clippers, Griffin cash at home

Los Angeles notched its third straight victory in Wednesday’s 111-103 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, collecting as 4 ½-point home ‘chalk.’ The Clippers erased an early 14-point deficit, outscoring OKC in the third quarter, 30-16.

Clippers forward Blake Griffin put up 22 points, while adding 12 boards and three steals. Los Angeles’ Chris Paul logged his ninth straight double-double, finishing with 14 points and 16 assists.

Griffin and Co. out-rebounded the Thunder, 50-35, while both sides recorded 22 turnovers each. Los Angeles allowed 46.7 percent field shooting, with the matchup’s combined 214 points lunging OVER the ‘total’ of 209 ½.

Back the UNDER in L.A.

Los Angeles opened as a nine-point home favorite, while the ‘total’ was first set at 203 1/2. Early wagers on the Clippers and OVER lifted the numbers to 9 ½ and 205 ½, respectively.

I am adding the UNDER in this contest to Saturday’s sports picks, looking for the octane of both sides to drop downward.

Brooklyn’s sole spot played on no rest saw UNDER backers collect in last week’s 96-91 home defeat against the Indiana Pacers. Williams notched team-highs of 17 points and 10 assists, leaving a further scoring void for his mates here.

Los Angeles is surging in its numbers at Staples Center, but has been held to 94.1 PPG in its last seven meetings with the Nets. Clippers center DeAndre Jordan should be in for a paint battle against Brook Lopez, with the pair of big men ranking third in the league for rebounds (12.9) and blocks (2.8 BPG), respectively.

The UNDER is 3-0 in Brooklyn’s trio of road duels that did not reach overtime, with Lopez and Co. managing just 88.7 PPG. Look for the UNDER to get the money again here, ending the Nets’ western journey with a tighter contest than NBA odds makers expect.
