Free NBA picks for a few of tonight's biggest matchups. Where do our NBA handicappers believe that the best value lies, and how do we plan on cashing in?

Wednesday is a big night in the Association, and I have several free picks that I am feeling good about tonight in the NBA. The betting odds are out and ready, so let’s take a look at three different games that I believe offer up great value for our NBA picks tonight.

Suns vs. Rockets

Phoenix has been playing decent ball since the loss of Marcin Gortat, and now they head into Houston to play the Rockets. Houston has been opened as a large -12 favorite, but I’m more focused on the total, which sits at a questionably reasonable 214 points.

Houston is of course the highest scoring team in the NBA, especially at home. They also play with the fastest pace of any team in the. The Suns on the other side have not missed much offensively without Gortat, but their defense has been awful. In their last three games, all three without Gortat, the Suns have given up an average of 112 points per game. Now against the Rockets, this total should fly over. The Rockets are 18-11 cashing the over at home this season, while the Suns are 19-11-2 cashing the over on the road.

My NBA Pick: OVER 214

Pistons vs. Warriors

The Pistons are continuing their west coast road trip, and tonight they will be without second year star Brandon Knight. No, he didn’t retire after being posterized by Deandre Jordan the other night. Unfortunately, he hurt his ankle in the Pistons’ last game against Utah, and he will be out for this evening’s matchup.

Without Knight this evening, the Warriors are -11 ½ favorites and I’m laying the points. The Warriors have covered their last two games against the Pistons, including once already this season. The Pistons already are a bad road scoring team this season, and with no Knight, they might not even get to 90. Detroit has given up an average of 111 points per game over their last three games, and I expect Golden State to win easily.

My NBA Pick: Warriors -11 ½

Knicks vs. Nuggets

The Knicks are struggling, they just lost Amare Stoudemire for likely the rest of the regular season, and on top of it all, Carmelo Anthony is also banged up right now with a knee issue. Doctors can’t figure out what is causing fluid to build up in his knee, and he could have to get the knee drained. Anthony said he is going to play, but if they drain his knee, playing likely won’t be an option. I’m thinking he won’t play tonight, and even if he does, playing against his old team in Denver is going to be tough regardless.

The NBA Odds are only favoring Denver by -8 and I cannot help but like it here. Without Stoudemire, and possibly no Anthony, the Nuggets should be able to roll. Denver is the best home ATS team this season and that will continue.

My NBA Pick: Nuggets -8
