It’s a short slate of NBA action tonight, and with one-day game on tap, it’s going to be hard to find NBA Odds value tonight. However in order to add some value tonight, let’s parlay together our two NBA Picks.

Thunder vs. Rockets
The Early game on tonight should be a good one, as the Thunder are rested and heading into Houston. The Rockets played last night in Orlando, and gave up 25 points to Nikola Vucevic. Houston lost 120-113 to the all of a sudden good Magic, and tonight they have an even tougher test against a rested Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. The NBA odds have the Rockets as only -1 ½ favorites, with a total anywhere from 208 to 209.

Even though I would like to fade the Rockets here coming off the back to back, I think a better wager could be the lofty total of 209 points. Coming off the back-to-back might hurt the Rockets’ offenses, especially against a solid defensive team. In fact both of these teams are top ten in points allowed, and that leads me to believe the under is the play.

The Rockets are only 5-5 cashing the under on the second night of a back to back, however they are 15-4 cashing the under at home, and 11-3 cashing the under as a home favorite. The Thunder on the other hand have cashed the under at 14-9-1 against the West this year, and the Thunder have cashed the under at 31-15 dating back to last season some. Look for this to be somewhat of a playoff style game on national television tonight, and look for the total of 209 to fall under for our parlay.

Cavs vs. Lakers
With Kobe Bryant still out, and Lebron James just back, one would have thought at the beginning of the season that these NBA Odds would favor the Cavs by double figures. However Cleveland is struggling to stay above .500, and tonight the NBA Odds have them as only a -6 favorite against the Lakers, with a total of 204 points. With James back the Cavs should be able to dominate the Lakers offensively. However the Cavs defense doesn’t get much better, even with Lebron on the floor. Despite the potential of not having Bryant again tonight, the Lakers are still a god bet to score some points here. This is why I am betting the total again here, and going with the over for this NBA pick.

Despite the Lakers cashing the under in their last six games in a row, the over is 4-1 in their last five home games as underdogs between +5 and +10, and when they have played on Thursdays recently, the total has gone over at 11-4. The Cavs on the other hand have cashed the under in their last eight games in a row, but against the Lakers, and now with James back (he missed most of those eight games) their offense should be lively enough to go over 204 here. I see a final score of about 105-100 in this one, so add the over to your NBA Odds parlay tonight.
