I’m heating back up after we cashed in with both of our NBA picks last night, however with only two games on the slate tonight, let’s parlay together a couple betting selections to increase the ole' bankroll heading into the weekend.

Bulls vs. Heat
The Bulls choked one away yesterday against the Magic in Orlando, and now the Bulls are taking that famous Florida back to back to Miami tonight to play the Heat. The  NBA odds virtually have this one as a PK, because both teams are desperately in need of a win. The total tonight sits very low at 191, so it seems like the sportsbooks think this one will be more defensive in nature.

It could very well be. A loss here would almost kill the Heat’s chances of catching the Pacers, Nets or Celtics for the 8th seed in the playoffs, and a loss here after last night’s loss could put the Bulls in danger of not having home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

While the Bulls defense didn’t show up last night, with their back against the wall tonight, I’m sure they’ll show up on defense here this evening. However after Derrick Rose’s return last night, the Bulls offense looked a little shaky, and I think it will continue that way tonight as they try and quickly integrate Rose back into the offense. That being said, I’m on the under tonight.

The under has cashed in both of these two teams meetings this season, and in both of them one of the teams failed to get to at least 85 points. Their last four meetings have gone under, including the two from last season when Lebron James was still in town, and I see it going down again tonight. The under is 6-1 for the Heat in their last seven games as underdogs, and it’s cashed in their last four meetings against teams with winning SU records. For the Bulls, the under is 5-0 in their last five games against losing teams.

Blazers vs. Warriors
The Warriors being at home helps this NBA pick a lot, because they may be less likely to rest some guys as we head into the playoffs. However it is still difficult, because the Warriors could do a number of things tonight in this game. The NBA Odds somewhat reflect that, because they have the Dubs as -9 favorites, with a total of 209. The Blazers haven’t exactly been the best example of road success, so it’s hard to take points here and hope that some of the Warriors guys get a night of. Portland is only 7-14 SU in their last 21 road games this season, and they are only 8-13 ATS during that same stretch.

However because of the potential volatility with the spread, the total once again should prove to be a safer late-season wager here. At 209 points, the under once again looks like a pretty good play. Both of these teams have some good defenders, and as long as they are motivated it should mean the under cashes.

The under has cashed in five of the last seven games for the Warriors, and it’s 7-2 in their last nine Thursday games. The Blazers have cashed the under in their last four games in a row, as well as four of their last five road games.
