It’s another night of NBA action, and after a coupe of big nights, the NBA is on a short break before a big hoops night on Friday. Only three games line the schedule tonight, and with not many NBA Odds options, let’s parlay two of the games to add value to our NBA Picks.

Cavs vs. Knicks
Cleveland is starting to get their grove. They have won their last four games SU, and even after losing ATS to the Bucks, their impressive comeback in that game on Tuesday shows that they are starting to come around. Now they head into New York tonight to play the Knicks, who probably won’t get it together until next season when several million dollars come off their books. The NBA odds have the Knicks as +7 ½ home dogs in this one, with a total of 197.

The return/debut of Jose Calderon as the starting point guard for the Knicks has really helped this team. He is a good shooter and passer, and he is running the triangle much better than Shane Larkin was. No offense to Larkin, but Calderon is an established point guard in this league. However for tonight, the Knicks’ slow style of play is going to play right into the hands of the Cavs. Cleveland’s defense has been showing improvement, but they still aren’t there yet. However if this game stays close in the early parts of the game, the Cavs may let Lebron James and Kyrie Irving play the role of play maker in the offense at times, and I think it will lead to the collapse of the Knicks’ defense.

The Knicks are 2-10 ATS following a SU loss, and they are 2-8 ATS following an ATS loss. New York is also an abysmal 1-9 ATS in their last 10 home games, while the Cavs are 4-1 ATS in their last five games as road favorites between five and 10 points. Lay the points with the Cavs tonight in your NBA picks.

Pelicans vs. Warriors
Golden State has been a really nice team heading into the month of December, and a few more big wins might put them in the conversation of Western Conference contender. Stephen Curry hit a huge three to beat the Magic on Tuesday night, and no matter whom they play, it seems they find a way to win even without their best stuff. Tonight they have a tough challenge, trying to slow down Anthony Davis, and the big Pelicans’ frontcourt.

The NBA odds currently have the Warriors as -8 ½ home favorites, but that number seems pretty sharp to me. However the total of 205 ½ looks like it’s begging for me to take the over, and that’s exactly what I’m doing. While the under is trending recently with this team, and despite their defense currently being ranked in the top ten, the Pelicans’ defense is where the points will come from. Even though New Orleans is ranked just outside of the top ten, they also like to run, and if they get into a pace match with the Warriors, the total will fly over.

Golden State has cashed the over at 7-3 in their last ten games as a favorite between five and 10 points, and for the Pelicans, the over has cashed in nine of their last 13 games. The over is also 4-1 in New Orleans’ last five games as a road underdog between five and 10 points. Look for 205 ½ to be too low tonight, and an excellent add to our NBA odds parlay.
