We’ve seen the return of Kobe Bryant and Derrick Rose. Tonight, it’s LeBron James’ turn. There are just five games on the Thursday card for NBA betting purposes and we’ve highlighted our three favorite picks.

Washington Wizards vs. Orlando Magic
It’s hard to know what to make of the Wizards as they had a very sluggish performance in their opener. They were in Miami last night and were trounced 107-95. The Heat took the lead at halftime and never looked back.

Obviously, the Wizards are not the same team without Brad Beal but this is a spot where they should be able to take advantage. The Magic are just one of the worst teams in the NBA and it’s hard to trust them in any situation right now. They’re playing without Victor Oladipo, who is their best player. Take the Wizards with your NBA picks. They should be able to get the victory tonight.

Detroit Pistons vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Timberwolves had an impressive showing last night as they pushed the Memphis Grizzlies to the bring last night. The Grizz still ended up winning but Minnesota nearly stunned them outright as a sizable 8.5-point dog on NBA odds. They were in the game mostly because they hammered the glass, outrebounding the Grizzlies 47-33.

As for the Pistons, they were smoked last night in Denver as they managed just 79 points. They shot a paltry 36.9% from the field and made just 6-of-26 three-pointers. They are clearly a team that’s still figuring things out. After a performance like that, it’s hard to trust them a night later when they’re again on the road. Take the Timberwolves with your NBA picks.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Los Angeles Clippers
The Thunder were valiant last night in their loss to Portland but they simply didn’t have enough. Russell Westbrook went crazy in the first half and the Thunder were leading but they only managed 35 second half points – 12 in the fourth quarter – and ended up getting blown out. Considering there is no Kevin Durant, no Anthony Morrow, no Reggie Jackson and no Jeremy Lamb, it’s hard not to expect more of the same tonight.

The Thunder are going into a buzzsaw as the Clippers are playing their first Donald Sterling-free game. They are going to be fired up to put on a show for the home audience tonight. On top of that, they’re facing a team they want revenge against for last year’s NBA playoff's and on top of that, the Thunder are shorthanded and in a back-to-back. Take the Clippers here.
