Free NBA Picks of the Day Suggest Betting the Totals

It’s a smaller day of NBA action here on Tuesday, as there are only two games on the slate. Even with a short slate of NBA Odds, there is still value tonight, and I have two more NBA Picks today after going perfect on Monday.

Suns vs. Bucks
The first game tonight is the Suns heading into Milwaukee to play the Bucks. Phoenix is a -4 NBA Odds favorite on the road, with a large total of 209 ½. While I do think the Bucks could have value here ATS, it’s a pretty good number for this game. However the total of 209 ½ is an even better bet here tonight. The Suns have been cashing the over with great frequency over the last few weeks, but the Bucks on the other hand have been killing it for under bettors.

Milwaukee has cashed the under in their last six games in a row, and I see them preventing the Suns from running up the score here. These two met earlier in the season in Phoenix, and the final score ended in favor of the Bucks 96-94. I could easily see another game with a similar score, and if that’s the case, the under is once again a great play. The under is 7-3 in the Bucks last 10 games as underdogs between +1 and +4 ½, and the under has cashed in their last four games as underdogs overall. Look for Brandon Knight to slow down Eric Bledsoe, and take the under.

NBA Pick: UNDER 209 ½ at 5Dimes

Pistons vs. Spurs
Ever since the Pistons kicked Josh Smith to the curve, they have been playing much better. In fact, they are threatening to climb out of the cellar in the Eastern Conference, and the NBA Odds are starting to take notice. Right now the NBA Odds have the Pistons as only +8 underdogs against the defending champions on the road. A month ago this never would have happened, and the Pistons would have been double-digit dogs easily.

However tonight they may give the Spurs some trouble. Kawhi Leonard is still out with his recent injury, however Spurs fans were given some hope this morning with word that he may be able to return in a few weeks. The news around Tony Parker is a bit more up in the air. Parker remains questionable for tonight’s game against the Pistons. Parker has missed the Spurs’ last five games since playing only two games after his return from his first stint with injury. You have to think the Spurs will play it safe tonight and not play Parker once again, but it is January, and the Spurs will have to start thinking about the standings sooner or later. San Antonio is still only 7 ½ games out of 1st place in the West with a 21-14 record, but this game is still losable.

However instead of betting on such things, I am once again looking into the total, which sits at 198 points. The Spurs have cashed the under for our NBA Picks in their last three games in a row, and four of their last five as well. The Pistons have cashed the under in their last four games in a row, which was suspiciously soon after they traded Smith to the Rockets. The under is also 4-1-1 for the Pistons in their last sic road games, and it’s 5-1-1 in their last seven games on the road against winning teams. Look for this to be a more defensive game, and for the under to cash.
