The Hawks look like they have regained the mojo they lost last season after getting to the Eastern Conference  FInals  as the East's number one team two years ago. While they won't be atop the East this season, they have the ability to score a lot of points and that should be on display on Monday against the Kings.

Sacramento Kings vs Atlanta Hawks

With Dave Joerger coming over as the newest of Kings head coaches, everyone thought that it might improve their defense. Joerger was a great coach in Memphis as a defensive specialist before getting the head coaching nod, but with the personnel in Sacramento, it's hard to see them as anything but a poor defensive team.

The Hawks, on the other hand, seem to have found their defensive swagger after losing it last season. Two years ago when they reached the conference finals and had the number one record, the Hawks' calling card was their defense. The insertion of Dwight Howard has given the Hawks a nice defensive combo in their frontcourt with Howard and Paul Millsap, but tonight they face off against a Kings team that could give them some troubles.

DeMarcus Cousins is playing on another level and as long as he isn't in foul trouble he should provide some nice offensive numbers, even against Howard. Ty Lawson is playing well and Rudy Gay looks like he really wants to be traded because he is playing like he did five seasons ago.

The biggest factor for this game will be the Hawks' offense. Atlanta has scored 104 and 114 points respectfully in their first two games and those were also against poor defensive teams. Now at home against the Kings and with a total of only 201.5, this looks like a fine over play to start off your Monday night NBA Picks!
