With two teams ranking in the bottom of the league in defense and the top of the league in pace, the Blazer and Pacers’ NBA Odds are too low tonight. With Indiana coming off the back to back, it makes for a defenseless game in the Bank tonight.

Portland Trail Blazers vs Indiana Pacers

One of the early line moves in the NBA odds today has the Blazers heading into Indianapolis to face off against the Pacers. The Blazers are actually -1 ½ favorites, pretty much only because they Pacers are coming off a tough loss last night in Dallas. However, for the total of 217 points, it’s an easy opportunity to take the over in a valuable line.

The total has already been going up since it opened, an indication that the sharps are taking notice too. With both teams ranking near the bottom of the league in almost every defensive category, it makes sense with the Pacers coming off the back to back.

So far this season, Indiana has cashed the over at only 1-2 while playing on no rest. However, with Portland allowing nearly 111 points per game on the road, I see the Pacers getting back to scoring in this one.

The paces for these teams also rank inside the top 10 fastest teams in the league. If this gets into an up and down game, the total will fly over. Take that into consideration when making your NBA picks. I was actually in attendance the last time these two teams played each other in Indianapolis. Damian Lillard had 40 points and the total flew over and when they played each other in Portland last month, the Blazers scored 131 points.
