The betting lines have been slow to come out today, but we have found two matchups that offer great value with their totals. Find out where were are looking to go with our NBA picks tonight.

Magic vs. Hornets

The Hornets play host to the Magic this evening, and the NBA odds makers have made them big -9 ½ favorites with a total of 194. Orlando played yesterday evening and got absolutely demolished by Memphis 108-82 in Orlando. Now on the second game of the back to back, the books obviously think the Magic will not be competitive tonight.

I however find a little more value in betting the total this evening. This number opened a bit lower, and the Magic have been playing zero defense since deciding to tank for lottery balls. Orlando’s opponent’s are scoring over 100 points per game this season, and Orlando has given up over 100 points in nine of their last 11 games.

The Hornets started the season with strong defense, but that has all but disappeared as this long season wears on. New Orleans has given up an average of 102 points per game over their last seven games, even though they were around 95-96 oppg earlier this season. The only game between these two this season went over, and even though this total is about ten points higher, the Magic probably wont even get in the way tonight, leading to a ton of points for the Hornets.

My NBA Pick: OVER 194

Bobcats vs. Trail Blazers

Charlotte is another team that got absolutely destroyed yesterday, except they took a 36 point beating at the hands of the Kings, a team also lottery-bound. Now the Blazers get a chance at an automatic win against Charlotte, and they are -12 favorites with a total of 198 ½.

I am once again siding with the total in this one, and once again, For the second of my night’s free picks, I’m advising bettors to take the Over. The Bobcats give up almost 103 points per game, and after giving up 119 to the Kings, I could easily see Portland putting up that much as well. The difference is I think Charlotte will turn it around on offense unlike the 83 points they put up last night.

These two played in a 118-112 game earlier this season, and even though the Bobcats have been in a scoring nightmare recently, this is still the NBA, and the Bobcats still have solid offensive talent. Charlotte will get at least 90 tonight, while the Blazers should get 110 + easily. Take the over once again and add it to your NBA picks.

My NBA Pick: OVER 198 ½
