Our very own professional handicapper shares his top two totals NBA picks on Sunday’s card. Go inside to give yourself a sizable advantage when betting on these games.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Denver Nuggets
Dallas has gone 9-1 over the total in its last ten contests, and there was a combined average of 223.6 points scored per game. The Mavericks allowed 101 points or more in each of those ten outings. Dallas has averaged 118.0 points scored per game, and shot a superb 51.7% from the floor during its previous four contests.

Denver has gone 18-6 over the total (216.1 PPG) in its previous twenty-four contests, and is 17-4 over the number (216.9 PPG) during their last twenty-one home games. The Nuggets have scored and allowed 101 points or more in thirteen of their previous sixteen games. Considering today’s opponent inability to hold teams below the century mark of late, it certainly bodes well for Denver exceeding the 100 point barrier. The Nuggets are 35-6 over the total this season when scoring 100 points or more.

Current NBA odds at Heritage has a posted total of 210.5 on this contest. Denver home games that have a total of 200.0 or more this season, resulted in fifteen of those seventeen contests going over the total. The average total in those seventeen contests was 208.1, and there was a combined 223.1 points scored per game.

Houston Rockets vs Toronto Raptors
Houston has gone 13-1 over the total in its last 14 away games, and there was a combined 224.9 points scored per contest. Houston has allowed 100 points or more in twelve straight away games. The Rockets are coming off a 108-100 loss yesterday in Chicago. They’ve gone over the total in their last six games when playing on no rest, and there was a combined 231.3 points scored per contest. Houston has allowed opponents to convert on a robust 41.3% of its three point attempts during their past five games.

Toronto has gone over the total in each of its last three (215.0 PPG), and in ten of their previous thirteen games (209.4 PPG). The Raptors have scored 101 points or more in nineteen of its last twenty-two games. They’ve gone 27-6 over the total in their last thirty-three games when scoring 100 points or more. Considering that Houston has allowed 100 or more in their last twelve on the road, there’s a high likelihood of Toronto eclipsing that magic number on Sunday. Toronto has been a bit shaky on the defensive end over its previous five games. During that time frame, they’ve allowed opponents to shoot 49.1%, and convert on an alarmingly high 46.1% of its three point attempts.

This game has all the earmarks of a high scoring affair. One of my NBA picks for Sunday will concur with that exact thought process.
