The Portland Trail Blazers (30-28) visit the United Center to face the Chicago Bulls (30-27). The Trail Blazers are favored by 3.5 points on the NBA odds board and the total is set at 208.5.

Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers saw their six-game winning streak come to an end in last Thursday's 119-105 home setback against the Houston Rockets. James Harden scored 46 points for the Rockets, who overcame a 21-point, third-quarter deficit. Damian Lillard had 23 points and C.J. McCollum added 20 points in the loss. Houston had 62 points in the paint, opposed to Portland's 26.

The Trail Blazers score 103.5 points per game (8th in the league) and shoot 45.0 percent from the floor and 36.0 percent from three-point range (9th in the league) and they pull down 47.5 rebounds per game (5th in the league). Portland allows 102.5 points per game and their opponents shoot 45.0 percent overall and 36.2 percent from beyond the arc and grab 42.8 rebounds per game. Damian Lillard leads the team with 25.1 points and 7.2 assists, C.J. McCollum averages 21.1 points and a team-best 1.2 steals and Allen Crabbe adds 10.8 points per game.

Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls are coming off a 103-88 road loss against the Atlanta Hawk last night. The Bulls had won three straight but they struggled with Jimmy Butler, Derrick Rose and Nikola Mirotic sidelined by injuries. Doug McDermott finished with 20 points in the setback and Paul Gasol added 16 points and 17 rebounds.

The Bulls average 101.7 points per game on 43.8 percent shooting overall and 36.3 percent shooting from three-point range (4th in the league) and they pull down 47.8 rebounds per game. Defensively, Chicago allows 102.3 points per game and their opponents shoot 43.2 percent from the floor and 33.0 percent from beyond the arc and grab 46.8 rebounds per game. Jimmy Butler leads the Bulls with 22.4 points per game, Pau Gasol averages 16.9 points and a team-best 11.0 rebounds and Derrick Rose adds 16.5 points and 4.8 assists.

Betting Trends
The Trail Blazers are 14-11 ATS as a favorite, 15-12 ATS in road games, 5-1 ATS revenging a home loss vs. an opponent, 6-2 ATS off an upset loss as a favorite and 15-9 ATS after allowing 105 points or more. The Bulls are 23-34 ATS, 11-15 ATS as an underdog, 12- 17 ATS in home games, 1-7 ATS on Saturday games and 13-17 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record.

Final Analysis
The Trail Blazers are a 3.5-point favorite on the NBA odds board and the total has been set at 208.5. These two teams met on November and the Bulls won 93-88 in Portland behind 22 points from Jimmy Butler and 17 points from Derrick Rose. Damian Lillard finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for the Trail Blazers, but shot just 4-of-22 from the field. C.J. McCollum added 18 points in the loss. It was Chicago's first win in Portland since 2007.

Derrick Rose missed his second straight game because of a sore right hamstring and he is questionable for tonight. It's hard to back the Bulls in this spot, with Butler and Mirotic out and with Portland playing much better basketball than Chicago. The betting trends favor the Trail Blazers and I like them to get back on track against a short-handed Bulls team.
