The Lakers might be in danger of missing one of their most important players in this game and if that happens, it could turn into a really good value on the NBA Odds for the total. At 211.5, the sportsbooks might be greatly undervaluing the Bulls' defense as well as the Lakers split without their young point guard.

 Chicago Bulls vs L.A. Lakers

The Bulls are coming off a hard-fought game against the Clippers last night, but luckily they didn’t have to travel for their back-to-back game against the Lakers tonight. Los Angeles may also be without their young point guard, D’Angelo Russell.

Russell missed their last game with a sore knee and if it’s anything more than just general soreness, Russell might be in danger of missing another game here tonight.

If that ends up happening, it could open up a ton of value for a play on this game. Despite the Lakers playing really fast and with little defensive, without Russell this season they have improved their defense a lot and their pace slows as well.

With Russell off the court, the Lakers’ opponents’ offensive rating drops from 116.5 to 98.5 points per 100 possessions. The Lakers’ offensive rating also drops three points as well.

On top of that, the Bulls have been playing some nice defense this season. They have the ninth best defensive rating of 104.2 points allowed per 100 possessions and they are playing really slow. If the Bulls dictate the pace of this one and the Lakers are without Russell, the total of 211 ½ is way too high for this one.

The Bulls have also cashed the under on both of their games on no rest this season. Look for it to happen a third time for your Sunday NBA picks.
