Will Boston get their first loss without Rajon Rondo to the Bobcats, or will they continue their improbable run tonight at Time Warner Arena? Find out where we are looking to place our NBA picks tonight.

After their amazing triple overtime game against the Nuggets last night in Boston, the Celtics had to hop on a plane and take the long flight down to Charlotte for tonight’s game. The Celtics come in as -3 ½ favorites with the NBA odds boards offering a total of 193.

Bean town beat down

Paul Pierce had to play 54 minutes, and had a monster stat line of 27 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists, and the Celtics squeezed past the Nuggets in triple OT. Tonight, Boston started as a six-point favorite, but after their triple overtime win, most of the online sportsbooks compensated by dropping the spread a few points.

Tonight however, I’m more focused on the total, which sits at an even 193 points. Charlotte’s defense is the worst in the NBA, giving up over 103 points per game. Normally they can’t score either, but in Charlotte, the Bobcats score nearly 97 points per game. With Boston being so tired, and the Cats stinking it up on defense, I see no reason why this total shouldn’t fly over.

The over has cashed in four of the last six times these two have met one another in Charlotte. Plus, even though they are 11-11 on the total this season when playing on the road, four of Boston’s last five road games have cashed the over.

The Sharp Pick

I think we are getting exceptional NBA betting value tonight with 193 points. Boston will be tired and that will give the Cats a chance to score. In their last two back to backs, the Celtics have scored over 100 points on the second night of the two games, and it will happen again tonight.

My Pick: OVER 193
