After a perfect 2-0 evening with my NBA picks on Monday, I have found two Tuesday NBA Odds that look valuable, and I am adding them to my NBA Picks of the day.

Blazers vs. Pistons
Detroit may be one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA this season. After some predicted they would make the playoffs this season, they are once again one of the bottom feeding Eastern Conference teams. Tonight they have another tough test with the Blazers coming to town, and the NBA Odds are firmly in favor of Portland on the road at -7 ½, with a total of 196 points. While the spread is inviting, there is a chance the Pistons are a solid matchup for the Blazers. However instead of focusing on a large road favorite, I am more intrigued by the total of 196 tonight.

The Pistons are giving up just under 100 points per game, and while that is much improved from where they started this season, the Pistons are still giving up points. They lost by two points against the Thunder in their most recent matchup, however despite not giving up 100 or more in that game, they gave up 104 points or more in their previous six games before Sunday’s loss. The over is 8-3 for the Pistons in their last 11 games at home against a team with a winning record, and the over is 5-0 in the Pistons last five games against a team with a winning record overall. The Blazers on the other hand have cashed the over in five of their last seven road games, and with a lower total, it’s a great day for an NBA pick on the 'over' again.

Kings vs. Lakers
In the late game this evening, the Kings and Lakers rekindle their old rivalry, and after the Kings won last night in Sacramento, they travel into Los Angeles tonight to play the Lakers. The NBA Odds have the Lakers as solid -2 ½ favorites at home, and the total is sitting at 205 ½. This is rare that the Lakers are favored in any game, let alone against the Kings who at one point looked like a playoff team. However they will once again be without their best player, DeMarcus Cousins, who is trying to recover from a battle with meningitis.

Kobe’s Lakers won’t have anyone protecting the rim either, and this could make for a high scoring game Without Cousins, the Kings have started to falter defensively, adding some nice value to the 'over.' They are giving up over 101 points per game, and the Lakers are far ahead of them in that department, giving up a league worst, 111 points per game. Even though the Lakers have cashed the under in four straight games, I see that trend reversing itself against a tired Kings team. The Lakers should have no issues scoring the ball, and neither should the Kings. Sacramento has cashed the over in seven of their last nine games following a SU win, and they should cash it again with this lower NBA Odds total.
