Our expert NBA handicapper shares his top two totals on Sunday’s card. These NBA picks have gone a stellar 14-7 (67%) during the past eight days!

Utah Jazz vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Utah has gone under the total in their last four, and in six of their previous seven games. The Jazz have allowed less than 100 points in eight of its last nine games, and have held opponents to 87.6 points scored per contest during their previous five outings.

Milwaukee is coming off a 96-86 win over Memphis in their last outing. They’ve gone under the total in each of their previous eight home games, following a contest in which they scored less than 100 points. Milwaukee has seen each of their previous three home games go under the total, and there was just a combined 191.0 points scored per contest. During their last two outings, Milwaukee scored 92.5 points per game, and averaged a significantly low 76 field goal attempts per contest.

These two teams met once this season, and Utah was an 84-81 winner at home. That game easily stayed under the total of 188.0. As a matter of fact, there was an extremely low 148 combined field goal attempts in that contest. Relative to NBA standards, it equates to a pace which simulates 40 yard dash ran by two turtles.

Current NBA odds boards at TheGreek.com clearly provides me with a best number for this specific wager.

Sacramento Kings vs. New York Knicks
Sacramento defeated New York at home 99-97 in the only meeting between these teams this season. The Kings have shown a recent tendency to play at a slower pace on the road. They’ve had 83 field goal attempts or less during their last seven away games. Considering their season average is 87 attempts per game on the road, it’s pretty obvious Sacramento has altered their offensive tempo significantly when cast into that role.

New York has gone 10-1 under the total in their last eleven games. The Knicks are averaging 89.5 points scored per outing over its previous four contests, and scored 94 or fewer on each occasion. According to NBA betting odds at BetOnline, the current total on this contest is 211.5. New York has gone under the total in all seven of its games this season, when the number is 210.0 or more, and there was a combined average of 201.1 points scored per contest. The Knicks have attempted 83 field goal attempts or less in six of their previous seven games. The only exception in that sequence came against Golden State. It’s virtually impossible for opponents of Golden State not to have a high volume of shots, due to the Warriors high offensive field goal percentage it so often attains, and the fast pace in which they play.

Relative to the total in this game, I like this to be a low scoring affair, and one of my Sunday NBA picks will be indicative of that thought process.
